The Obsession: The Chronicles of John Doe

Introduction 

Now come to think about it, almost everybody in this world has some kind of obsession, and for whatever reason, it may be safe to say that nobody can say they are immune. Left unchecked obsession can be pretty unhealthy and mostly there are high chances that one will get depressed at a later stage. Life is extremely amazing because you get to learn every day, and you get to learn how people relate to this feeling.

Chapter One 

A few years ago, when John Doe was twenty-three years old while visiting a friend, Steven, he picked up a magazine that was lying under a pile of old books which his friend had planned on disposing of them, but John took a sudden interest in them, especially the magazine. Later on, off he goes, and on him, he has that pile of books that were supposed to be thrown away by Steven.

While on his way home he couldn’t stop thinking about what he had found because for him this was a sign of much greater possibilities to come. It was a magazine that he had always wanted to purchase but couldn’t afford, this magazine is about programming. 

Chapter Two 

It is certainly not a surprise that John had always wanted to be a computer programmer but due to a lack of financial resources, he could not further his studies. Slowly over time, John was able to save enough money to buy a second-hand laptop that still showed signs of life, now with that out of the way John was still puzzled about how he was to acquire the programming software which he is going to learn from and on top of that he had no books and other study material. The idea of being self-taught has always been stuck with John ever since he left high school but that wasn’t possible until now. Now he has all the material he needed and he can proceed on to be one of the greatest programmers in the world.

Don’t get me wrong, John still has a lot to learn, and the sooner he realizes that the better because not only will that put him in a better space mentally but he will surely need to stay patient. Programming is not easy and as a matter of fact, it is one the most difficult set of skills that one can ever learn, and people with that kind of skill are considered gods of the tech industry. Again John had to decide which programming language he will specialize in because all of the programming languages out there have their advantages that are hard to ignore. John later opted for the Python programming language mainly because of its simplicity and honesty, I think that was a great choice considering that he is still new at this.

NOW!

It has been three years ever since John found the necessary material for his learning and it is safe to say that now he has developed his programming skills, and with the hope that he will take this further than where he is right now. He is now able to write different computer programs and he plans on starting his own software company so that he can offer his newly developed skill as a service.

Starting a company from the ground up is not an easy task which is why John decided to invite his friend Steven who already possesses programming skills also. They decided to name the company DuelTech because they believed their company was a product of two great minds coming together. Once the company was established it wasn’t easy also because firstly there is competition, especially from the industry giants, but that did little to stop these two men from entering the market and claiming their spot, and it sure seems like they know what they are doing.

Chapter Three 

It took a while before clients could actually come knocking on their doors and once they did they never stopped coming back for more because DuelTech is here to stay and nobody else offers better and quality services at a reasonably fair price.

Most of their clients are other up-and-coming companies still in their start-up phase and mostly they need new websites so that they can better market and distribute their own products and services. On the other hand, John Doe came to a realization that in order for them to take on the industry giants he still has to harness his skills by enrolling in more but rather short courses this time as compared to self-studying because learning acquired from an educational institution has its own set of advantages and this also helps with networking and reaching new potential clients.

Becoming a programmer has always been a lifelong dream for John Doe and over the last few years, he has always been gathering information about this career field trying to broaden his options, and also making sure that he is up to date with the current affairs in the tech industry. The tech industry can sometimes be one of the cruelest and unforgiving business environments one can ever come across and it requires one to be extremely vigilant at all times...
