Follow Your Dreams: The Chronicles of John Doe

Introduction 

Most people wish to follow their dreams on a daily basis but lack the strength, confidence, and courage to do so, what could be the cause of this, or is it because a lot of people are just lazy to even take action towards improving their lives?. John Doe is certainly not one of those people, he is simply an action taker, a doer, and his journey begins now. 

Chapter One 

It's a summer afternoon on a Tuesday and John Doe is sitting on his rocking chair outside on the porch, his laptop battery is now running low because John has been working on his laptop computer all day without charging, and he’s working from home due to Covid19 lockdown restrictions. He gets up and goes inside to look for his laptop charger, but all of a sudden John remembers that he still needs to make decisions in relation to following his dreams before a lifetime of regret takes over. 

Times have changed, and technology is at the forefront of these changes that are occurring, John immediately decides then and there to finally quit his job and of course, do what makes him happy and that is to be an entrepreneur. Five minutes later when John returns with his laptop charger he quickly starts typing his resignation letter which he immediately emails to his employer who is certainly not happy with John’s sudden decision. The question is does John really know what he is doing, I mean how does decide right then and there to quit their job, or does he have an ace up his sleeve or maybe a secret weapon we don’t know about?

Fortunately for John, he had already incorporated his own company about a few months ago; the company is still in its start-up phase and there is no cash or money of some sort that is coming into the business. Confidence is one of the qualities that John has and for him to survive the business world he will need it in abundance and many other qualities he has. Being one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world means a lot to John; it is a lifelong dream that started when he was just a boy, it is in his blood, it is what he literally dreams about, and most certainly it is what he desires with his mind, body, and spirit. Following your dreams is not an easy path to take especially in the business environment. 

Chapter Two 

Competition is tough, three rival companies to be exact, these companies are considered to be pioneers in their field with their experience being extraordinarily and fairly distributed amongst the three of them. Firstly we have a company called HyperTech, which is considered the industry giant because they have extensive experience spanning over three decades, DuTech which is short for DurableTech is second on the list and they have an experience of over twenty-five years thirdly we have a company called AstroTech which has an experience of fifteen years. The emergence of AstroTech in the tech industry was rather met with some type of hostility, mostly from loyal customers of both HyperTech and DuTech simply because they brought along some game-changing innovations when they entered the market. However, John is not bothered by any of this because he has done his homework and he is extremely confident in himself.

As an entrepreneur, you really need to possess high levels of confidence. A confident entrepreneur is someone who is always optimistic that their businesses will flourish, succeed, survive, or perhaps even take over the industry as o whole. John is a very confident man and he also believes in his abilities, he is an optimistic individual and he knows that being an entrepreneur requires discipline. A successful business venture is what every entrepreneur longs for and John is no exception, when you are confident like he is at this particular moment you know for sure that your efforts will pay off someday in the not-so-distant future. 

Another quality that entrepreneurs must really possess is self-reliance and again John is no exception at all. People who are considered or who consider themselves self-reliant are people who do not shy away from responsibility and they are always accountable for their actions all the time, they are not afraid of showing their independence and the will to strive at all times no matter what. A self-reliant entrepreneur like John Doe is an individual who is always persistent because he or she believes in their abilities and they do not take anyone who ridicules their ideas seriously because they know that they have the ability to stand out from the crowd of nonbelievers.

Chapter Three

One cannot consider themselves a fully-fledged entrepreneur if they do not possess some perseverance as a quality in them. Entrepreneurs are people full of perseverance because these are individuals who do not give up easily, they can actually fail quite a few times before eventually succeeding and they will certainly try again if they are not satisfied with the little success that they have. In the last ten years, John Doe established quite a number of businesses and which mostly did not even get off the ground, some he ventured into with partners, and some he ventured into them alone just like a typical entrepreneur, and this alone is evidence enough to prove that indeed John knows what he is getting himself into and he will stop at nothing until one of his businesses is an international success.

It is indeed without a doubt that competition is tough but John’s newly established company DualTech promises to bring about some changes and a lot of innovations in the tech industry. DualTech combines both old technological designs and new advanced technology and the results are both antique-like and incredibly futuristic inventions. The company has been in existence for about eight months now and John and his team are still trying to build the first prototype that they are going to present to the world. There is a lot of optimism amongst John and his team members because this new invention promises a bright future for them and their future potential customers, there is simply no room for disappointment that is why John is working very hard day and night to make sure that the launch of this new technological innovation is a huge success and that the world at large will accept what is being offered to them.

Ever since he was a young boy John has always been fascinated by old antique designs and old technology, he has always believed that inventors of the olden days are the true pioneers of the tech industry and that they are undoubtedly the kings and queens of technology advancements taking place around the world. After having given it some thought and some contemplating John finally came to a decision and that was to establish his company DualTech, the concept behind the business venture came about when John wanted to preserve his old antique stuff that was deteriorating in his garage due to the dust that it had been gathering over the years that went by so fast John himself couldn’t even keep up before it was too late. One must really care for and love their antique stuff for them to go to such great lengths to preserve their belongings; hence DualTech’s business slogan reads “I May Be Old But I Am New on the Inside” just like a phoenix that burns itself only to be born again from its ashes.
